Q330.  Menuki in solid (and thick) silver: Samurai with naginata in waves.  About 1.3 x 5 cm each.  Once again Japanese folklore is referenced and once again I don’t know the tale.  I think gold is the sole accenting soft metal; no shakudo on these.  The backs are filled with pitch or some other black material, condition is excellent, and the set comes in a box with an off-color pillow.  These would mount well with a Soten tsuba.  $295.
