Q135. Iron Dragon Tsuba Signed in Gold

$245.00

Q135.  Iron tsuba with a fearsome dragon.  7.2 x 7.5 x .4 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.6 cm.  This is signed in gold inlay: Tomikane.  The tsuba comes with a laminated appraisal from Aoi-Art in Tokyo.  They say this is late Edo period and that the smith was very good at inlay work and collaborated with Kuniyasu.  Aoi’s price was 30,000 Yen; mine is $245.  Condition is excellent.
