Q112.  Spectacular kinko tsuba with battle in the sky.  6.9 x 7.2 x .35 cm on the plate.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.7 cm.  This tsuba comes with a laminated appraisal sheet from Aoi-Art that says, “Shakudo nanako, unsigned, late Edo Period.  On the round shaped heavy shakudo tsuba, on the front a demon took a treasure and on the back a Samurai took back this treasure from the demon.  I think this story comes from China.  The expression on the faces are very nice.”
