M197.  Iron tsuba in the style of Nobuiye.  6.8 x 7.5 x .55 cm at the raised rim.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .7 x 2.7 cm.  I’m surprised that this isn’t signed Nobuiye; the tortoise shell and pine needle carving are quite representative of the work and the iron is very good with a fine patina and prominent bones on the rim.  Maybe someone forgot.  Condition is excellent.  $280.
