M130.  Fuchi & kashira.  Shakudo and gold dragons, signed  Hidemoto with a kao.  Robert Haynes has this smith with a death date of 1790 and says he was the 4th son of Omori Teruhide.  The kao matches the one in Mr. Haynes book.  The carving is exquisite and condition is excellent.  The outer dimensions of the fuchi are 2.1 x 3.7 cm.  $350.
