Q770. Tsuba signed Mitsushige Saku. 7.5 x 8.1 x .5 cm at the raised rim (.45 cm at the seppa-dai). The nakago hitsu-ana is .9 x 2.7 cm. There are udenuki ana at the side of the seppa-dai and another small sukashi on the other side of the tsuba. A few gold ten zogan dots here and there and gold inlay on what may be a prominent tekkotsu on the bottom rim, less prominent tekkotsu also on the rim. I see some fine line, kebori carving but, unless it is something like grasses or tree twigs, no idea what they represent. This has a soft, almost yakite (melted) surface in excellent condition. $395.
