K145.  This tsuba has been marked sold for a few weeks while I’ve been waiting for payment.  The buyer didn’t deliver so here it is again.

Iron tsuba signed Choshu Hagi Ju Tomohisa Saku.  7.3 x 7.6 x .45 cm at the slightly raised rim.  The nakago hitsu-ana is.7 x 2.6 cm.  Murakami, in his book Choshu no Tsuba, lists Tomohisa as working in the 2nd half of the 18th century.  Very crisp, clean carving in excelent condition: there’s a lot to like here.  $495.
