J138.  Tsuba signed Jakushi.  6.5 x 6.9 x .5 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .7 x 2.8 cm.  This one is a bit unusual for Jakushi in that it is a water scene with boats and boatmen, not dragons.  There are nunome of gold and inlays of silver and shakudo.  The design, including the inlays, carries over the rim from side to side.  An unusually small ryo-hitsu is plugged with shakudo.  3rd or 4th Jakushi, according to the consignor.  $325.
