From the Holbrook collection; it will come with his collection photo on which he has noted, “Ko Tosho (rim less) Full sun – never cut for kotsuka & kogai, 16 – Imperial, Muromachi.” Excellent iron with a great soft patina. There is a tiny notch at the bottom of the rim, which may indicate that there once was a soft metal fukurin around the rim. I like it better without the extra; it needs nothing. $495.
