H400.  From the Holbrook collection; Skip’s tag reads, “Higo Smooth Dragons”.  7.8 x 8.6 x .4 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .7 x 2.9 cm.  The dragons were, and to some extent still are, picked out with gold nunome.  Great crisp carving and a smooth velvety surface: nice tsuba.  $255.
