H392.  Iron sukashi tsuba with a wonderful surface.  6.8 x 7.2 x .38 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is.9 x 2.8 cm.  Holbrook again; Skip’s tag reads, “Higo Jingo I, Oni Karuma”.  Oni karuma means devil’s wheel, water wheel.  5 of the spokes are worked in sukashi; the rest are implied with hammer work (nice touch).  Tekkotsu on the rim and most likely on the plate as well.  Excellent condition.  $325.
