H370.  Yamagane (copper) plate tsuba with gold inlay.  6.6 x 7.1 x .4 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.7 cm.  This tsuba has come out of the Skip Holbrook collection; Skip’s tag says, “Higo Nishigaki Kanshiro I”.  A fierce eagle perches in an oak (I believe) tree, the bird on one side and branches & leafs on the other.  Condition is wonderful: an impressive piece.  $895.
