D101.  Heianjo Zogan tsuba from the Momoyama Period (or so I was told by the person I bought this from).  7.8 x 7.9 x .35 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.6 cm.  As Heianjo Zogan tsuba go, this one is quite nice.  The inlay on one side is plants and on the other seashells.  Patina is great, there are subtle tekkotsu on the rim and nearly all of the brass remains.  A fine example from the school.  $500.
