C285.  Tempo tsuba.  7.8 x 8.1 x .3 cm at the slightly raised rim (thin plate).  The nakago hitsu-ana is .9 x 2.8 cm.  The Tempo group of tsuba-shi worked with hot stamps on iron; this stamp is Kaze, wind in Japanese.  The consignor of this one, who is quite knowledgeable, places it in early Edo; that works for me.  Condition is excellent.  $195.
