C267.  Iron tsuba with gold inlay, signed Shoami Shigekatsu Saku (Aizu Shoami according to the former owner).  8 x 8.1 x .4 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .9 x 2.8 cm.  Wonderful hammer work and a great patina; there are subtle tekkotsu on the rim.  The ryo-hitsu (1 of which is unusually shaped) are filled with shakudo.  Excellent condition.  $325.
