C168.  Iron mokume tsuba.  7.3 x 7.6 x .45 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana measures .7 x 2.8 cm.  Wonderfully worked mokume surface with prominent layering on the rim.  The plugged hitsu ana has been worked with a hammer to blend well with the plate.  Heavy, dense, and in wonderful condition; great piece of mokume.  $400.
