T495. Iron Higo tsuba. 7.5 x 8 x .4 cm. The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.8 cm. There is a spider with a body of gold nunome and legs & web of silver inlay. The rim is ornamented with silver nunome in a chevron pattern. Some of the silver is missing but this may have been done on purpose by the smith (often the case with Higo kodogu). Comes with a Hozon paper from the NBTHK, dated 2012 and giving this to Kodai (later generation) Jingo. $975.
