This blade has a paper from the NTHK-NPO, dated 2013 and giving it to Sue-Tegai (later generation Kanenaga), Taiei (1521 – 1528). The former owner has had the paper translated and has included the following: itame well forged with mokume, and displaying utsuri. Chu suguba and shallow notore. The boshi is shallow notore-komi with gentle kaeri. The horimono are, on the omote, so no kurikara with a kaki ? in the nakago. On the ura koshi bi and soe bi ending in the nakago. I can add that the hamon is covered in ko-nie and is busy with subtle activity and that the grain is tight and flawless. In polish and mounted with a silver foil habaki and well made shira-saya, all in excellent condition.

This is accompianied with a lacquered saya and no other koshirae. There is some loss to the lacquer and the saya is split (held together by the koi guchi).
