B916. Gassn Sadaichi Kaiko Ten. 1996. Softbound, 8 3/4 x 11 3/4″, 134 pages in Japanese. Gassan Sadaichi was the 4th hereditary head of the revival of the early Gassan tradition: Sadayoshi, Sadakazu, Sadakatsu, and Sadaichi. He was born in 1907 and died in 1995 after a long and prosperous career, including being named Ningyen Kokuho (Living National Traesure). This book shows nearly 100 blades, from works of the early Gassan School and up through the smiths of the 19th and 20th century revival. The book is inscribed by Gassan Sadatoshi.
