B897.  Swords of Imperial Japan: 1868 – 1945 by Jim Dawson.  1996.  Softbound, 8 1/2 x 11″, 160 pages.  This is the 1st edition of Mr. Dawson’s book.  I also have his later, Cyclopedia Edition (see B510), which is much larger and far more thorough.  If you’re serious about collecting Japanese military edged weapons, you want the later book.  If you need only a light reference, this should do fine.
