B708.  Nihonto no Kindai Teki Kenkyu by Koizumi Hisao.  1969. I have 2 copies of this book in 2 different bindings. 1st option (my 1st picture). Clothbound in slipcase, 7 1/2 x 1- 1/4″, maybe 500 or so pages in Japanese. 2nd option (2nd picture). Rebound as hardcover with the title A Systematic Study of the Japanese Sword, 7 1/2 x 10 1/4″, maybe 500 or so pages in Japanese.  Modern Precise Study of Nihonto is what the title says: lots of information and hundreds of oshigata.

Condition of the 1st option: A former owner has written the title i English on the spine of the slipcase and again on the title page of the book; his name is on the back end paper. Other than for a bit of rubbing to the bottom edge of the cover, condition is excellent.

Condition of the 2nd option:  The cover is a bit rubbed, a bit stained, and missing something round that used to be glued on the front.  I have found a couple instances of small writing inside and a page of the index at back has been torn and taped.  A good reading copy.
