B666.  Shinshinto Taikan by Iimura Yoshifume.  1979.  Clothbound in 2 volumes, with plastic jackets, slipcases, and cardboard storage box, 8 ½ x 12”, 1,255 total pages in Japanese.  This is the reference for Swordsmiths of the Shinshinto period; no other book comes close.  Volume 1 contains well over 1,000 nicely done oshigata of swords of the period; volume 2 leads with 57 pages of color & black & white photos of koshirae and kodogu, follows with crisp photos of blades, and finishes with pix of horimono and other aspects of Nihonto: a very large and useful book.  I have a digital copy of an English index to this book.  If you buy it remind me to send you the index.
