B299. 3 books on swordsmiths of WWII by Fuller and Gregory. Someone unbound 3 books, made xerox copies of every page, and had it all bound into one book. You get Swordsmiths of Japan: 1926 – 1945 (see B367 on my site), The Oshigata Book (B365), and A Guide to Showa Swordsmiths (B366). The book is hardbound, 6 x 8 3/4″, maybe 470 pages in English.

The pages have lost a bit of clarity with the copy process but, since the original printings weren’t all that great to begin with, there isn’t a lot of difference between the originals and this copy. The original binding of Swordsmiths of Japan: 1926-1945 is usually found falling apart; you don’t have that problem with this copy.

If you have an interest in Japanese military swords and the men who made them, you want these books. My list prices for the 3 books add up to $465. This book, which is in excellent condition and weighs 1 pound, 11 ounces, can be had for $195.
