B183.   Nihonto no Kokoro To Waza.  2004.  Paperbound, 8 ¼ x 11 ¾”, 144 pages in Japanese.  This is, I believe, a presentation of modern Nihonto art: newly made swords, polishing, habaki making, kodogu making, and more.  50 brand new swords and 12 newly polished great old blades are shown in 1st class black & white photos.  Color photos show the kodogu and habaki.  There is a section on sword care and etiquette, another on tying the sageo and sword bags, and pictures with short bios of the artists.  And at the back of the book, a foldout, full length photo of a Kokuho (National Treasure) Yoshifusa tachi.  This is a beautiful book.

The top edge of the front cover has been touched just a bit; otherwise the book is like new.  1 pound, 15 ounces.  Was $70, now $55.
