B1037.  Swords of Kyoto by The Kyoto National Museum.  2018.  Softbound with dust jacket, 8 3/4 x 12″, 273 pages in Japanese with a list of plates and introduction in English.  This is the catalog of the most impressive exhibition of Yamashiro Den swords, from September through November 2018 in Kyoto.  200 pieces, a few of them paintings and paper but the large majority swords and polearms, are shown in crisp black & white photography and described.  All of the greats are included, from the earliest (Sanjo, Gojo, Emperor Gotoba, Awadaguchi) up to Shinsakuto (modern swords).  Kokuho (National Treasure) and other highly ranked objects are here.  Quite the show; very nice book.
