B996. Unno Shomin Shitae Shiryoshu by Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.  2007.  Hardbound with dust jacket, 9 3/4 x 13″, 161 pages in Japanese with an 11 page introduction in English.  Unno Shomin (1844 – 1915) was a well respected kodogu artist but with the Meiji Restoration and the end of the sword business, he switched to decorative objects for the market he had.  He worked with Kano Natsuo at The Tokyo Fine Arts School and was an Imperial Court artist.  This beautiful book shows hundreds of his sketches and many fine pieces of metal work.
