B796.  Gempei: The Civil Wars of Old Japan by Carl Spohr.  1967, # 7 of a limited edition, inscribed by the author to a former owner.  Softbound with tied string binding, 8 1/2 x 11″, 313 pages in English.  This is the history of the conflict between the Taira and Minamoto during Late Heian era.  I haven’t read the book so I can’t tell you a lot but it looks to have been well researched and what I’ve glanced at is well written.
