B880.  Illustrated Catalogues of Tokyo National Museum: Sword Guaed.  1979.  Clothbound with dust jacket, 7 1/2 x 10 1/2″, 191 pages in Japanese and English.  Of the 3 Nihonto books in this series: Swords, Sword Mountings, and Sword Guards, this is the most difficult to find.  542 great tsuba from one of the world’s great collections are shown in chronological order in sharp black & white photos and described in both languages.  This is a very good reference.

This book, not the one in my picture, is in good reading condition. There is staining and wear at the top of the dust jacket and some foxing on the page block edges that doesn’t carry onto the pages except for the last two. Not perfect but quite functional.
