B643.  Kano Natsuo Meihin Shu by Ikeda & Yoshida.  1972.  Clothbound with slipcase, 8 1/2 x 12″, 249 pages in Japanese.  Kano Natsuo (1828-1898) was the last important kodogu artist of the Samurai era; his work is exquisite.  There is little text in this book; from front to back it is mostly photos of the art.  Hundreds of pieces are illustrated in black & white with a few in color photos: tsuba, menuki, kotsuka, boxes, plaques, drawings, and more.  Great stuff; great book.

A former owner has written the title in English on the spine of the slipcase and again on the back end paper of the book. His name and stamp are on the slipcase and end paper also. The book itself is in excellent condition.  4 pounds, 2 ounces.  Now $150.
