B381.  Tosogu Gokecho Meihin Shusei by Fukushi Shigeo.  2001, limited edition of 200.  Clothbound with slipcase and storage box, 10 ¼ x 14 ½”, 350 pages in Japanese.  Each item is described in English also and there is an English index at the back.  The companion to the author’s Tosogu Machibori Meihin Shusei (see my listing B638); 2 incredibly beautiful books.  This book covers the work of the family Goto, presenting examples of all 17 mainline masters.  At the front are life size, foldout photos of spectacular koshirae, the bulk of the book is given to crisp color photos of hundreds of master works, and at the back you get seals and signatures.  These 2 books are the best of Kinko, soft metal sword fittings: long out of print, difficult to find, and precious.
