Caldwell was an early, post-war collector of swords and kodogu in the west.  With affection and diligence he was able to amass a very impressive collection.  142 pieces, many big names and important, are described and shown in crisp black & white and color photography.  This book is the catalog to the private sale at Syz Limited; the remainder of the collection was sold by Sothebys in London but this was the high end of what Mr. Caldwell had.  I understand the book is not often offered for sale.
