Most of the armor books in English that I’ve seen have more pictures than text; not so with this one. There are 100s of pictures but the text is extensive and most informative. This is a great reference for anyone wanting to know more about Samurai armor, specifically the cuirass: protection for the body. At the back of the book is a thorough 16 page Glossary.
