T498.  Iron sukashi tsuba.  7.7 x 7.7 x .5 cm.  The nakago hitsu-ana is .9 x 2.9 cm.  The sukashi here is Sosho, grass script, a stylized writing that is most likely a Buddhist verse or a poem (or less likely a grocery list:-).  Exquisite work in excellent condition.  $650.
