R142.  Kotsuka in shakudo nanako with gold zogan.  1.35 x 9.6 cm.  The nanako is very fine and well done; most of the gold remains though some has been lost to time.  I’ve always ennjoyed the way Japanese kodogu makers interpret crows: they look like they belong in a Looney Tumes cartoon laughing.  This kotsuka is signed Ishiguro Naotsune with a kao.  Condition is excellent.  Was $190, now $115.
